The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination routine for 2026 has been officially published for the Bangladesh Education Board. The exams will begin on April 21 and continue until May 20, according to the education authorities.
The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, under the Ministry of Education, released the SSC Routine 2026 on Thursday, January 15. The information was confirmed through an official notice published on the website of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka.
The notice was signed by Prof. S.M. Kamal Uddin Haidar, Controller of Examinations of the Dhaka Board. It applies to SSC candidates under all education boards in the country.
According to the routine, the Bangla First Paper examination will be held on the first day of the SSC exams. The exam will start at 10:00 am and end at 1:00 pm. This will mark the formal opening of the 2026 SSC theory examinations across Bangladesh.
After a gap of two days, the Bangla Second Paper examination will take place on April 23, 2026. Like other written exams, it will follow the time schedule set by the education boards.
The official notice states that the SSC theory examinations will continue until May 20, 2026. During this period, students will sit for subject-based written tests according to the published routine.
After the completion of the theory exams, there will be a break of 17 days. The SSC practical examinations will then begin on June 7, 2026, and will continue until June 14, 2026. Practical exams are required for subjects that include hands-on or laboratory-based assessment.
Education board officials have advised students to collect their detailed exam routines from official board websites or their respective schools. Students are also expected to follow all examination rules and instructions issued by the boards.

The High School Holiday List 2026 has been officially published. The Ministry of Education Board issued a notice in this regard. This holiday list will apply to all government and private secondary and junior secondary schools in the country.
The notice was released on Sunday, December 28, by the Government Secondary-1 Branch of the Secondary and Higher Education Division. Students, teachers, and parents can now see how many holidays schools will have in the 2026 academic year.
According to the official announcement, schools will have a total of 64 days of holidays in 2026.

In 2025, schools enjoyed 76 days of holidays. In comparison, the number of holidays in 2026 has been reduced by 12 days.
