Over 1.22 Lakh Candidates Applied for Medical and Dental Admission
The application process for Medical and Dental Admission 2026 has ended, and this year the competition is higher than expected. More than 1 lakh 22 thousand students have already completed their application by paying the fee. The Directorate General of Health Education (DGHE) confirmed the number and mentioned that it may increase a little more before the final deadline.

This year, the number of applicants is very high compared to the available seats. Until Saturday night, 1,22,521 students completed the fee payment. With only 5,100 seats in government medical colleges and 545 seats in government dental colleges, the competition stands at 22 candidates for each seat.

DGHE officials also said that the total number of applicants might increase by 1,000 to 1,500 more as the payment window remains open until midnight.

BKSP holds an admission test every year to find young talents from all over Bangladesh. Students who are skilled in sports such as football, cricket, athletics, swimming, archery, and many others get the chance to join BKSP for long-term training.

For the 2026 session, BKSP has released the schedule early so students and parents can prepare without any confusion.

BKSP Admission Test Schedule 2026

BKSP will conduct the admission exams in all eight divisions. The dates for each division are:
- Rangpur Division: 23–24 December 2025
- Rajshahi Division: 26–27 December 2025
- Mymensingh Division: 29 December 2025
- Sylhet Division: 31 December 2025
- Chittagong Division: 2 January 2026
- Khulna Division: 5–6 January 2026
- Barisal Division: 8 January 2026
- Dhaka Division: 10–11 January 2026
Students must appear on the exact date scheduled for their division. BKSP will not allow anyone to attend the exam under a different division or on a different date.

Instructions for Students and Parents

The BKSP authority has issued a notice with several important guidelines. Students must bring the required documents during the admission test. These include:
- Birth certificate
- Recent academic records
- Sports certificates (if available)
- Registration or admit card (if provided)
Parents should make sure that their child reaches the exam center on time. Since the tests include physical activities, students are advised to wear sports-friendly clothes and shoes.

BKSP Admission Test: Type of Exams

The BKSP admission process usually runs in several steps:

Physical Fitness Test

Students are checked for height, stamina, strength, running ability, and flexibility. This helps the instructors understand the student’s basic fitness level.

Sports Skill Test

This is the most important part of the exam. BKSP will test the student’s skills based on the sport they are applying for. The test may include ball control, speed, accuracy, coordination, and other sport-specific abilities.

Medical Check-Up

A health check is done to ensure that the student is physically fit to join BKSP’s training environment.

Academic Test

A short academic exam is taken to check the student’s basic learning ability. It covers simple topics from their regular school syllabus.

Only students who pass all stages will be selected for final admission.
